Sometimes when I’m tired, stressed, worried, or just troubled, I try and find an exceptionally tall tree. If there’s a grove of trees, I single out the tallest among them. Then I try and see if I can spot it’s highest-most leaf. I mean the one leaf that is at the very very tippy-top of the tree. And when I find that leaf, I like to imagine how that leaf feels.
And everything somehow feels a little bit better for a time.
This is a post about goats
I am filled with so many questions about these pictures: Where are they? What kind of goats are these? Why do they do that? I feel like if they were answered, I could come to a place of great profundity.
Goats just do that. Doesn’t matter where. Goats like to be up high. They’ll climb whatever is around, even other, larger animals, like cows.
Now you know this about goats.
But why do they like to be up high? Is it the view? The feeling of being on top of the world? Does it give them a sense of control, or power, or significance in their drab little goat lives? Do they feel their lives are drab? When I think of animals that yearn for ‘something more’ , goats never seemed to be high on the list. Are goats the dark-horse dreamers of the animal kingdom?
