God, help the poor soul who wins this Lottery.
People seem to think that money will free them, and maybe a certain amount of it will…to an extent.  But that much money?  I can’t see that being anything but a terrible, terrible burden.  A burden that everyone is taught to dream about.

No laws were necessarily being broken, but the laws that existed were being abused for the personal gain of the wealthy.  Loans, taxes, fines, and contracts were being abused without consequence.  Justice was being...

This morning I boarded a train in Michigan, and as we were getting ready to leave the station there were several people on the platform saying their goodbye’s and waving to their loved ones through the windows of the train.  In particular, a young man was on the platform waving goodbye to the girl sitting behind me. When the train started moving, the conductor that was standing near the...

ihartjoehart: Mancini’s part: 4:26 - 4:33 Gahh!  It’s like an episode of ‘Miranda’, but with a bunch of cameos by European sports personalities that I’ve never heard of before!  And it’s beautiful, because I’m suffering from Miranda-withdrawal.

And I can’t tell what their saying, because they’re all speaking Korean.  I mean, I know they all know English, so I could ask them to stop if I wanted to…but it’s a community space, and I don’t want to rude.  They have just as much right to this space as I do. Honestly, I’m just a coward.  Oh god, they’re moving furniture.

I. Almost. Got. Hit. With. A. Ping-pong. Ball.
It bounced off the ceiling and landed in a blur of white, about five inches from my chair. And now a third guy has come to join.  And he brought his own paddle…in a case. Now he’s stretching. I’m gettingreallyscared.

(SCENE: I run into one of my professors in the hallway...)
Professor: Oh, hello!
Me: Hi! How are you?
Professor: Oh, I am fine. And how are you?
Me: Fine!
Professor: Ah, good. *pause* You know, you never did send me that email with the information...
Me: Oh! Oh my gosh, I didn't! Ugh, no, I completely forgot! I'm sorry, I'll get that to you!
Professor: Oh you forgot?
Me: Yeah...oh my gosh, yeah!
Professor: Ah, I see. You know, you've been forgetting things lately - I think you must be in love, or something!
Me: Ah! *laughing awkwardly* no....I wish! But, no...
Professor: *laughing*
Me: But I'll send you that email.
